As president of Atlas Insurance Agency, Chason Ishii leads the firm’s strategic growth, advances the company mission and objectives and ensures delivery on Atlas’ promises. Previously, he served as executive vice president of sales and marketing, where he was responsible for the strategic and long-range plans of the Atlas statewide insurance sales offices, including Commercial Sales, Construction and Surety, Employee Benefit Consulting, AOAO Practice and Personal Lines products.
Chason’s professional background of serving Hawaii’s families and businesses for over thirty years in myriad leadership roles provides him with the experience and business expertise to help grow Atlas Insurance Agency’s presence throughout the state. His strategic focus and background of helping grow companies and expand their operations is helpful as Atlas Insurance Agency continues to serve Hawaii’s people.
Previously, Chason held a variety of leadership roles including: president of Green Home Solutions Hawaii, president of HHL Holdings Inc. (parent company to Honolulu Home Loans Inc.) and president of Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties — where he oversaw six residential sales offices, a commercial real estate operation and a sales force of over 500 agents and employees.
Chason is a Property and Casualty Insurance Producer and a member of World Presidents’ Organization. He is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa and the Harvard Executive Education Graduate School of Business.
Executive Vice President - Sales and Retention
As executive vice president of sales and retention, Carol Davis emphasizes a complete risk management approach. Her professional experience involves working with public entity clients throughout the state as well as large private sector clients. Additionally, Carol leads the nonprofit and healthcare specialty segments for the insurance agency, where she serves some of Hawaii’s largest nonprofit organizations.
Prior to joining Atlas, Carol was at Marsh USA for 10 years and is a former member of Make-A-Wish Hawaii’s board of directors. With over two decades of experience in the insurance industry, Carol is a property and casualty insurance producer and has also earned the insurance industry’s highest designation – certified Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter.
Carol received her bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Hawaii and her Master’s degree in business administration from Chaminade University.
Executive Vice President - Operations
Tricia has over twenty-three years of experience in the Construction Insurance and Surety industry. Prior to joining Atlas, she was formerly a Vice President/Account Executive at King & Neel, Inc. Her responsibilities included managing and securing insurance and surety programs for large to medium construction accounts (revenues between $20-$200 million), as well as reviewing/analyzing contracts, requests for proposals, and preparation of a client report with recommendations.
Prior to that she was an Assistant VP and Surety Manager at Island Insurance where she successfully managed one of the only locally owned surety operations in the state of Hawaii. During her fourteen year tenure at Island, she managed the overall underwriting process which included the review of individual construction contractors, their operations and financials as well as assisting these same accounts in reviewing contract plans and specifications to determine any potential onerous conditions or contract language.
Tricia obtained a BA in History and Hawaiian Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. She also holds an Associate in Surety & Fidelity Bonds (AFSB) from the Insurance Institute of America as well as received her CRIS (Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist)
Designation from International Risk Management Institute. Tricia has been an active member of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers, the General Contractors Association of Hawaii, Board Member for Construction Financial Management Association – Hawaii Chapter, National Association of Women in Construction. and was the President of the Hawaii Surety Association from 2006-2013.
Senior Vice President - Benefits Consulting
Bonnie Pang is a senior vice president and manager – employee benefit consulting and strives to help her clients attract and retain Hawaii’s best talent. She joined Atlas Insurance Agency in 2007 and has over 20 years of experience in health insurance and employee benefits, working with medium and large employers in grocery, construction, airlines, education, hospitality, law, retail, non-profit, transportation and education. Prior to joining Atlas, Bonnie led the Health and Welfare practice for Mercer in Hawaii.
Bonnie is a member of Society of Human Resource Manager – Hawaii and the Hawaii Association of Health Underwriters. She is also a licensed Life and Health Producer.
She is a graduate of the University of Redlands with a degree in Bachelors of Arts – International Relations and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
Senior Vice President - Large Commercial
Russell Park is senior vice president and Sales Leader of Atlas’ business insurance unit. With over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry locally and in California, Russell’s expertise includes helping clients evaluate and manage the optimal combination of risk retention and risk transfer while considering the economic, market and contractual impact. In addition, he provides extensive insurance policy reviews to identify and resolve coverage gaps that can lead to significant client losses.
Russell enjoys taking a creative approach within the risk management discipline and is routinely consulted for the proper transfer of risk on all types of contracts, especially in mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Atlas in 2001, Russell worked his way up in various capacities culiminating in an account executive position at Johnson & Higgins. Post-merger, he also held an account executive position with Marsh. He began his career with Andreini & Company in San Mateo, California.
Russell is a Property and Casualty Insurance Producer and has his associate in Risk Management designation. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from University of Hawaii.
Senior Vice President - Operations
Sharon Hodson is senior vice president of Atlas’ commercial lines operations and is a 40-year veteran of the insurance industry. Her main role today is helping the commercial lines managers facilitate the placement of insurance policies and overseeing the development of Atlas’ talented new hires.
Having held senior positions in underwriting and marketing at several other large insurance companies in Hawaii, her experience is invaluable in helping train Atlas’ next wave of young account managers.
Since moving to Atlas more than 15 years ago, Sharon’s various roles have included overseeing Atlas’ independent agents and extensively growing her reach in the insurance marketplace.
Sharon is a certified Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, one of the most comprehensive and respected designations in property and casualty insurance. She is also a Property and Casualty Insurance Producer and holds an Associate Risk Management designation.
Senior Vice President - Client Consulting Services & Organizational Management
As Senior Vice President of Organization Management, Vince Miyoi is responsible for the development and management of the agency’s strategic organizational development program. He manages programs related to leadership and strategic initiatives for employment development, talent management, recruitment, employee retention, succession planning and Risk & Claim Consulting Services.
Vince’s leadership in supporting Atlas’ organizational management has helped the company earn numerous accolades, including recognition as one of Hawaii’s Best Places to Work by Hawaii Business magazine for the past eight years, the Healthiest Company Award (Hawaii Business magazine) in 2015 and 2016, and the 2014 Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award from the Hawaii Psychological Association. He also founded Atlas’ Olelo Hui Toastmasters Club and Internship Program.
Prior to joining Atlas in 2000, Vince was a Risk Control Strategies Consultant with Marsh USA, a Senior Loss Control Consultant with Industrial Indemnity, and Director of Support Services at St. Francis Medical Center – West.
Vince is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa, is a Property & Casualty Licensed Producer, Certified Safety and Health Professional (CSHP) and holds a number of management and training certifications.
Vice President - Special Projects
Dana Tokioka focuses her time on internal controls within Atlas Insurance and Island Holdings.
Dana’s experience covers a vast array of disciplines and enables her to support the executive team in a variety of capacities. She has worked as a corporate and real estate attorney in San Francisco, then transitioned into management consulting with Booz Allen Hamilton, before joining Atlas Insurance Agency in 2010.
Dana is a member of the California Bar, Property and Casualty Insurance Producer, Accident and Health Insurance Producer, Certified Insurance Service Representative, and certified Business Analyst with the International Institute of Business Analysis.
Dana is also passionate about serving the Hawaii community and is involved with three nonprofits in a board member capacity including Director of the Atlas Insurance Agency Foundation, Director of the Hawaii Theatre, and Vice Chair for the YWCA O’ahu.
Dana holds a Bachelors of Arts in History from Tufts University and a Juris Doctorate degree and a Master’s in Business Administration degree from Georgetown University.
