HONOLULU – Atlas Insurance Agency, Inc. (Atlas), Hawaii’s largest insurance agency serving the people and businesses of Hawaii since 1929, today announced the hiring of Van Nakashima as senior account executive. Van will be responsible for managing all aspects of assigned accounts with commercial clients, and helping existing clients meet their additional coverage needs.
“Van’s rich background in insurance not only includes consultative services, but also claims adjusting and commercial premium rating,” said Carol Davis, Executive Vice President of Sales & Retention at Atlas Insurance Agency. “Van’s thorough knowledge of the insurance industries allows him to help clients navigate their insurance journey.”
Prior to joining Atlas, Van was a principal of Insurance Advantage for 11 years, where he worked closely with clients and managed the day-to-day operations of the company. He has been working in the local Hawaii insurance industry since 1986, bringing decades of knowledge and experience to Atlas. Van holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from the University of Hawaii and holds both the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) and the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations.
