    Duties:

  • Vice President, Benefit Consulting

    Hawaii’s largest locally owned insurance agency is seeking a highly motivated Vice President of Benefit Consulting to oversee all employee benefit products and drive the strategic planning for the Benefits department.  The Vice President is responsible for developing new business and required to lead and manage group benefits client engagements.  This position also serves as an advisor to clients and positions the group for the strategic future.

    The successful candidate will join an expert team that partners with clients to design, implement, and manage their employee benefit programs. The role involves business development within Atlas and across the family of Island Holdings subsidiary companies; the Vice President secures and develops new client relationships, implementing cross-promotion of Atlas’ products and services available.  The strategic future may include building or partnering with a self-funding team, wealth management expansion, and a PEO.

    The ideal candidate for VP, Benefits Consulting should possess strong presentation and client relationship building skills, financial aptitude, solid attention to detail, and leadership ability.

    Education/Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.  5 years related experience and/or training required, preferably with mid to large size Hawaii employers.  Prior supervisory and managerial experience required.  Combination of education, and job-related experience equivalent will be considered.

  • Senior Risk Consultant

    Honolulu - Main / Full Time

    Exciting opportunity to join Hawaii’s largest locally owned insurance agency as a member of the Atlas Insurance Client Consulting team. Seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to manage and provide risk control services primarily to large construction sized risks of unique complexity.

    The Senior Risk Consultant services both internal and external corporate customers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to deliver customer service and technical assistance to address the needs of these special types of accounts. This individual is responsible for effectively collaborating with the insurance carrier loss control representatives and maintaining direct responsibility for assigned accounts.

    Education/Experience:
    High school diploma or GED required. College degree in related field or a combination of Associate’s Degree in Safety and Health from a two-year college, plus 2-3 years related experience preferred. 5 years comparable technical experience and/or training in Safety and Health. Combination of education and job-related experience equivalent will be considered.

    Must be willing to complete related professional training, such as Associate in Loss Control Management by the IIA/AICPCU.

    Certifications/Licenses:
    Attainment of or working toward certification as an ALCM, OHST, or ASP/CSP or other certification required. Valid Hawaii Driver’s License and use of own vehicle required.

  • Senior Claims Consultant

    Honolulu - Main / Full Time

    Duties:

    Responsible for overseeing workers’ compensation services. Develop claims services to meet customer demands. Obtain, maintain, expand, and service business accounts in accordance with insurance carrier policies and procedures.

    Education/Experience:

    • High school diploma or GED required; college degree is highly preferred.
    • 5 to 8 years related claim management experience and/or training required;
      supervisory experience preferred.
    • Equivalent amount of education, experience and/or training will be considered.

    Certifications/Licenses:
